2016 “Fry Good, Do Good” Contest

Fry Good, Do Good contest winners will be able to attend an exclusive cooking class led by Abel Gonzales, Deep Frying King of the State Fair. The cooking class will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016 at the El Centro College Food & Hospitality Institute in downtown Dallas.

Entry Requirements:

Individuals may enter the contest by liking our page at www.Facebook.com/CeasetheGrease and sharing or reposting our weekly tips on how to Defend Your Drains from fats, oils and grease. Contestants are not required to reside in city limits of Dallas.

Individuals may share or repost each weekly tip only once, and winners will be limited to one admission (and one guest) during the contest.

Time Frame:

The contest officially launches Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 12:01 a.m. CT. and ends Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at midnight CT.Three winning entries will be randomly drawn each week on Friday October 7, October 14, October 21, October 28 and November 4.


Defend Your Drains will notify weekly winners by contacting them via email, phone and/or Cease the Grease’s Twitter handle @CeaseTheGrease. The odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries, but sharing each week’s posts will increase the odds of winning.

There will be a total of 15 winners, and each winner may invite one guest, for a maximum of 30 people in the cooking class. Winners and guests will also receive a Fry Good, Do Good apron and gift bag of DYD and CtG materials. By participating in the contest, participants agree to allow the use of photographs of themselves and their guest in DYD and CtG social media and web pages.

Winners will be responsible for their own transportation and parking at the location.

Winners must claim their prize within three (3) days of notification. If winner fails to claim the prize in three (3) days; or is not in compliance with these Official Rules; or is otherwise ineligible, their place in the class will be forfeited. Any forfeited place will be awarded to an alternate contestant.
